Curldrop is a UK home for curly and coily hair - an independent shop run by people who've spent years learning their own curls the hard way. We don't stock everything. We stock what we'd actually put on our own hair, and we check it two ways before it earns a place here: first against the ingredients, then against real curls. That's not a tagline. That's the whole process.
How a product earns its place
Plenty of shops say they curate for curls. Here's exactly what that means at Curldrop.
1. We screen the ingredients. Every product is scanned ingredient by ingredient. Anything questionable - the harsh stuff curly hair has learned to avoid - and it doesn't go on the shop. This is the first gate, and it's non-negotiable.
2. We test it on real curls. What passes the screen goes to real people with curly and coily hair, who put it through actual wash days and styling routines. If it doesn't deliver, a big brand name and a loud marketing budget won't save it.
3. Then, and only then, it's in the shop. What you see on Curldrop is what survived both stages. That's the whole filter and it's why we can confidently say: every product, every ingredient, checked.
Safer by default, not by accident
We only stock products whose ingredients are approved for sale in the EU - which means no relaxers, and nothing carrying ingredients like formaldehyde, phthalates or parabens. Everything we sell is sourced authentic, never grey-market. You shouldn't have to read the back of every bottle to shop with confidence. That's our job, and we've already done it.
