We are incredibly excited to share Curldrop- an online home for people with curly hair. We provide haircare and styling products for all curl types from coily curls through to looser curls. We are also bringing curly hair to the forefront with regular creative campaigns.
What makes Curldrop different?
We strive to transform shopping for curly haircare into a pleasant process. There is an online alternative to shopping on the high street for clothing, electronics and even tea! Curly haircare shopping is still mostly done on the high street and can often be a bare-minimum experience. Curldrop is here to set a new standard for curly haircare shopping.
No relaxers or harmful ingredients
Curldrop is careful about ingredients in cosmetics and we are picky with what we choose to stock. Relaxers are linked to serious health conditions and there is still little research in this area. Above all, Curldrop is focused on transparency around ingredients present in hair products and prioritising hair products with natural origin ingredients. We will never stock products that contain ingredients that do not meet EU regulatory standards.
Representation in creative campaigns
Coily and Afro hair is underrepresented in creative campaigns. We regularly do photoshoots to increase visibility of coily and curly hair. This means more professional and creative curly hair photos on your moodboards for inspiration on those lazy hair days!
No curl typing
We encourage shopping by hair concerns rather than curl type. People often have more than one curl type and curl typing by itself doesn’t help people to determine what products would work for them. We'll explore this more in a later blog post!
Customer service comes first
At Curldrop, we want to raise the standards for curly haircare. We provide authentic products at an affordable price with quick shipping. We also have a fair refund policy and want to share our haircare knowledge so you can make the right purchase decisions for you.
Where did the idea for Curldrop come from?
During the pandemic, it was difficult to find online stores with full haircare ranges in stock. Friends and family ended up purchasing shampoos, creams and gels from different stores which meant paying several sets of delivery fees and receiving orders on different days. It just didn't make sense. We would regularly have conversations about how companies should sell curly haircare products as well as they sell mainstream hair products. This is how the idea of Curldrop was born.
What if we created an online retail store that was catered to us? A place where we didn't have to read through a list of 50 ingredients to make sure that a product was safe to use? Where we can get inspiration for hair styles and learn how to look after our hair? This is everything Curldrop aims to be! We are here to foster a community of people who want to learn and share about their haircare and to better understand what products work for people with similar hair textures.
